Sourcing for the Sales Org, Run by the Sales Org
Generic recruiting agents miss what makes sales hiring work: hiring managers know what good looks like (specific prior employers, quota attainment patterns, tenure signals), and recruiters can't search LinkedIn for those signals at the volume sales hiring requires. The Sales Hire Sourcing Agent runs against the team's ICP-of-hire — a profile defined by the VP Sales — and surfaces matching candidates from LinkedIn directly into Greenhouse or Lever for the recruiter to outreach.
Why This Lives in the Sales Marketplace
The panel originally cut HR agents because the buyer path is wrong — Marcus (Head of People) wouldn't browse a sales tools marketplace. This agent flips the buyer: it's owned by the VP Sales for sales-team hiring specifically. The CRM and the data sources are sales-side; the recruiter is the consumer of the output, not the buyer.
How It Works
The VP Sales defines the ICP-of-hire in config: target employers (companies that produce talent that performs in this org), tenure ranges, role progression patterns, and territory or vertical signals. When a new requisition opens in Greenhouse or Lever, the agent runs a sourcing pass against LinkedIn (via API or supported integration) and surfaces 20–40 candidates ranked by ICP-of-hire fit. Each candidate is written to the requisition in Greenhouse or Lever as a sourced lead with the match rationale.
