Copper
Copper CRM integration for Google Workspace-native teams with automatic relationship tracking and deal sync.
When to Use This Connection
Use this connection when the user:
- Uses Google Workspace and wants a seamless CRM without leaving the ecosystem
- Needs automatic activity logging from meetings to Copper's relationship timeline
- Wants meeting notes and AI summaries attached to Copper records
- Needs pipeline visibility with deal stages synced across platforms
- Wants to enhance Google Calendar meetings with Copper CRM context
What This Connection Does
Guide the user to Settings > Integrations > Copper in their Demodesk dashboard at https://demodesk.com/manage/settings/integrations/copper. The connection uses Copper's OAuth 2.0 authorization flow — click "Connect Copper" and authenticate with your Google Workspace account (Copper's native auth).
Once authenticated, the integration syncs people and companies between Demodesk and Copper. Meeting attendees are matched to existing Copper people by email. If no match exists, Demodesk creates new people records with profile data from the meeting. Companies are linked via the relationship structure in Copper. Every completed meeting creates an activity in Copper's relationship timeline, enriching your complete interaction history with each prospect. AI-generated meeting summaries are attached as notes on the relevant person or company record. Deal stages sync bi-directionally — meeting outcomes can advance opportunities through your Copper pipeline, and Copper stage changes surface in Demodesk for meeting context.
For configuration, navigate to "Sync Settings" after connecting. Configure whether Demodesk creates new people automatically. Set up which deal stage changes trigger in response to meeting outcomes. The Google Calendar integration enhancement means meetings appear with richer context and Copper company/person information. The sync runs in real time.
Anti-Pattern: "Duplicate Person Records" Copper's relationship model is strict about not creating duplicates. Before enabling automatic person creation, ensure your team's email matching strategy is consistent — different email variations for the same person will create duplicates that clutter your relationship timeline and break reporting. Test with a small pilot first.
