Close CRM integration with calling data sync, lead tracking, and automated activity logging from every meeting.

When to Use This Connection

Use this connection when the user:

  • Wants to log Demodesk meetings alongside Close's native calling data
  • Needs to sync leads and contacts with automatic matching across Close
  • Wants to trigger Close sequences based on meeting outcomes
  • Needs meeting outcome data to enrich Close Smart Views
  • Wants a unified activity log of calls, emails, and meetings

What This Connection Does

Guide the user to Settings > Integrations > Close in their Demodesk dashboard at https://demodesk.com/manage/settings/integrations/close. The connection uses Close's API key authentication — copy your Close API key from Settings > Integrations > API and paste it into Demodesk, or authenticate via OAuth if available.

Once authenticated, the integration syncs leads and contacts between Demodesk and Close. Meeting attendees are matched to existing Close leads by email. If no match exists, Demodesk can create new leads (configurable). Every completed meeting creates an activity logged in Close's timeline, appearing alongside Close's native calling and email data. AI-generated meeting summaries are attached as notes on the lead record. Meeting outcome data enriches Close Smart Views — for example, a qualified meeting flag can surface hot leads for immediate follow-up. You can configure Close sequences to trigger automatically based on meeting results, advancing leads through automated workflow stages.

For configuration, navigate to "Sync Settings" after connecting. Choose whether Demodesk creates new leads automatically or only matches existing ones. Set up sequence trigger rules based on meeting outcomes. Enable activity logging to Close's communication timeline. The sync runs in real time. Monitor activity creation and sequence triggers in Close's activity feed and reporting.

Anti-Pattern: "Over-Automating Sequences" Do not create too many auto-triggered sequences based on meeting outcomes without careful testing. Overly aggressive automation can spam leads with redundant sequences, damage relationships, and create frustration for your sales reps who lose visibility into the pipeline. Start with one high-confidence trigger (like "qualified meeting" → enroll in follow-up sequence) and expand carefully.
