Zoho CRM
Zoho CRM integration with contact sync, deal tracking, and automatic meeting activity logging.
When to Use This Connection
Use this connection when the user:
- Wants to connect their Zoho CRM account to Demodesk for automatic meeting activity logging
- Needs smart contact matching and deduplication across Zoho modules
- Wants to trigger Zoho Blueprints based on Demodesk meeting outcomes
- Needs to set up custom field mapping for Zoho-specific data structures
- Wants to advance leads through the Zoho pipeline based on meeting results
What This Connection Does
Guide the user to Settings > Integrations > Zoho CRM in their Demodesk dashboard at https://demodesk.com/manage/settings/integrations/zoho-crm. The connection uses Zoho's OAuth 2.0 authorization flow — the user clicks "Connect Zoho CRM" and authenticates with their Zoho account credentials.
Once authenticated, the integration syncs leads, contacts, accounts, and deals between Demodesk and Zoho. Meeting attendees are matched to existing Zoho contacts by email, with smart deduplication across Zoho modules. If no match exists, Demodesk can create new leads or contacts (configurable). Every completed meeting creates an activity in Zoho's timeline. AI-generated meeting summaries are logged as notes on the relevant lead, contact, or deal. You can configure Zoho Blueprints to trigger automatically based on meeting outcomes — for example, advancing a lead to the next stage when a qualified meeting completes.
For field mapping, use the "Field Mapping" tab to configure custom field mappings between Demodesk properties and your Zoho-specific field structure. Configure which Zoho modules receive meeting activities and how contact matching rules behave. The sync runs automatically when meetings conclude. Monitor sync status and troubleshoot failed activities in Settings > Integrations > Zoho CRM > Activity Log.
Anti-Pattern: "Trigger Blueprints Without Testing" Do not enable Blueprint triggers in production without testing the complete workflow in a Zoho sandbox first. Unintended Blueprint executions can create unwanted leads, spam automation sequences, or corrupt deal data. Test with non-critical meetings, then enable for your full sales team.
Data Sync
| Entity | Direction | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Leads | ↔ Bi-directional | Smart contact matching by email; new leads created if no match found |
| Contacts | ↔ Bi-directional | Matched across Zoho modules; deduplication automatic |
| Accounts | ↔ Bi-directional | Linked via contact-account relationships |
| Deals | ↔ Bi-directional | Deal stage updates sync; meetings logged to related deals |
| Activities | → Demodesk to Zoho | Completed meetings create activities in Zoho timeline |
| Notes | → Demodesk to Zoho | AI summaries and meeting notes attached to records |
Sync is real-time. Blueprint triggers execute asynchronously after meeting activities are logged.
